Who we are​

We are a team of dedicated change-makers who believe in the power of community-driven initiatives to celebrate diversity, preserve cultural heritage, and uplift underserved communities.

The Shwe Horizon Foundation was born out of a desire to connect people to the rich culture of Myanmar while addressing pressing issues like food insecurity and the lack of access to authentic Burmese resources. What started as a small initiative has grown into a movement to promote Burmese culture, provide essential resources, and support economic empowerment.

Through cultural events, educational programs, and community outreach, we aim to preserve the vibrant traditions of Myanmar while empowering individuals and families to thrive.

Our approach

Cultural Preservation and Education

  • Offer workshops on Burmese cooking, language, traditional arts, and cultural history.

Community Support and Outreach

  • Provide free or subsidized Burmese food products to low-income families through a food assistance program.
  • Establish a community kitchen where volunteers prepare and distribute meals to those in need.
  • Collaborate with local charities to provide essentials like clothing, school supplies, and basic necessities.

Economic Empowerment

  • Support aspiring entrepreneurs in the Myanmar community with training and resources.
  • Promote fair trade practices by giving Myanmar artisans a platform to sell their handmade products.
